What To Expect

FlyOver Canada
Take an exhilarating flight simulation ride. Your 25-minute experience inside a 3-story high-dome-screen theater is made up of three stages: the pre-show, pre-launch and the 8-minute Ultimate Flying Ride.

First, walk into the pre-show area for an audio-visual showcasing the people of Canada. Then, head to the boarding zone for your preflight briefing. After a safety orientation, you’re led to the flight deck. Get buckled in and hold on for takeoff!

Soar from coast to coast in Canada, and immerse yourself in spectacular scenery. Grab on to your seat as you dive from high peaks to the rolling countryside; see fishermen, cowboys, lakes and the woods — they’re so close you can almost touch them. Feel the wind and rain in your face, and inhale heady scents of wherever you’re flying through.

When your flight ride ends, take a moment to recover and then exit through the hangar.

This tour is available all-year round, with shows starting every 20 minutes during operating hours.

Fun experience-always enjoy

We did the Fly Over Hawaii this time (and the Christmas version last year) and it was a lot of fun. It was neat to see some scenes of the Hawaiian landscape that we could only see via helicopter ride or under other special circumstances. It is a fun experience every time I do a Fly Over experience (have done the regular one and Soarin’ at Disneyland).
Magical Experience!

Eleven of us arrived to find a medical emergency in process. The manager went above and beyond to accommodate our group as quickly as he could considering the situation. We are very grateful for his efforts. Consequently the delay was minimal. As for the show itself, it was incredible. The members of our group raved about their experience and everyone said that they would definitely like to see the show again. It was magical in every way. The pre show, in keeping with the Christmas theme, was well done and again our group loved it. The staff were friendly and professional. We look forward to returning soon! A must see if you visit Vancouver!
Great immersive experience

Probably best immersive reality I have had. Extraordinary cinematography and robotic seats. Staff was kind and efficient.
Great staff

I was joined by my elderly father for this event and the staff at Fly Over could not have been any nicer or more helpful. They made our good experience excellent!

Very fun experience. Unfortunately they do a weird little pre show for both the Hawaii and Canada fly missions verbwhich they s a complete waste of time
Disappointing

We live in Vancouver and this is was our second time doing a FlyOver show. We did the Iceland + Canada combo last spring and FlyOver Hawaii in December. All movies are very short (a bit over 8 minutes). Though it is advertised as a half-hour experience most of that "experience" time is spent waiting in line. The Iceland film was very good, perhaps breathtaking. The Canada movie needs an update and is quite underwhelming. The Hawaii one was even more disappointing, perhaps even more so because we are familiar with the Hawaiian islands and as a family had discussed how we thought the movie might be organized. It's so short, with no narration and no visual storytelling, just clips strung together. The quality of the Hawaii footage was also lesser than the Iceland movie, which I now wonder might have been because we were sitting closer to the edge whereas we had more central seats for the Iceland feature.

We went back because of the reduced BC resident price and the hope of an Hawaii experience on par with the Iceland one... but frankly we're not going to be back, unless perhaps we get free tickets sometime. Thankfully we didn't have to pay for parking as we took transit, and it was nice to see the display of Christmas trees along Canada Place on our walk there.
Underwhelming

Overall the effort seems to be there the experience has some timing issues (smells/sprays etc). The loading process seemed adhoc and confused, almost humorous. The actual film was ok but almost a touch sporadic in it’s approach, a bit of narration or proper music would have gone a very long way to make this work. On the first show (Hawaii) sitting on the outer edge, the video quality is actually quite poor. Overall it was an experience for a Friday evening. Was it worth $55 each for the two shows, no absolutely not, it was very underwhelming. If you’re bored and need something to do, I suppose give it a shot but if this is a splurge or a planned event I’d suggest this is a pass.
Expecting more.

It’s ok - I was expecting a little more than it delivered. I was hoping the visuals would show more of Canada.
