Outstanding!

I took the English Bay tour on a fall weekday. It was sunny and warm and the leaves had just turned color. 'Couldn't believe my luck... I was the only person on the tour!

My personal guide took me on a leisurely stroll down a popular shopping street. He pointed out interesting stores along the way, offering to visit any one of them if I was curious. (I was particularly intrigued by the Australian Pie shop!)

We visited an outdoor art exhibit. I learned about the historic Sylvia Hotel and marveled at its ivy-covered exterior. Who was Joe Forte and why is he so loved by beachgoers? Why do otherwise sane folks by the thousands come to the beach on New Years Day? These and many other questions were answered as we strolled along Vancouver's famous Seawalk.

The perfect conclusion to our tour was a fine local craft beer served by a charming young woman who lived in the neighborhood and added her perspectives.
Great walking tour!

Matt was a great host. After a stop at a delicious local bakery, we had a lovely walk around English Bay where Matt pointed out some neighborhood highlights and answered all my questions about the area. We ended our tour with a lovely sunset at a craft brewery on the bay. Matt offered a “non-traditional” tour experience with a great social connection. What a nice way to start my week in Vancouver.

So glad we booked this to kick off our trip! Food is really the glimpse into the local experience that brings a city to life. Our guide, Matt, was incredible! He picked great spots to stop with wonderful food and stunning views, was a wealth of knowledge, and a great conversationalist. We learned so much about the area and this event even helped us start getting oriented in Vancouver. Highly recommend this experience! It helped make our trip special.

Loved the tour through West downtown. Matthew is very social, quite knowledgeable and has interesting stories to share about some of the buildings and local places you will encounter.
I can only recommend this to anyone, especially if you want to get to know other people that visit vancouver.
The setting sun from the craft beer bar that we stayed at was pretty awesome as well!
Very friendly guide
