Chaberton Estate Winery
Chaberton Winery and the Bacchus Bistro are truly a unique experience to visit and dine. Located in South Langley, just 45 minutes from Vancouver, BC. They offer daily tastings in our boutique tasting room, winery tours and exquisite dining with authentic french cuisine in the Bacchus Bistro overlooking the 55 – acre vineyard. Township 7 Vineyards & Winery (South Langley)
In 2001 – this is where it all started – in the 7th Township of Langley. While some things have changed, like signage and our new cellar style tasting room, their principles and focus have not: they are just about making quality wine and nothing else.

Off the highway and “Metro Vancouver adjacent”, their Fraser Valley winery is set in a lush agricultural landscape, surrounded by green vistas and the occasional trot by of an equine explorer. Grape growing? Yes. Explore your inner wine geek without leaving the Lower Mainland and get to know this gem that has bubbly ambitions.

Here, their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines are destined for sparkling wine from a vineyard perfect for growing these noble grapes in the Champagne style. An adventure to come, but meanwhile, an invitation to try the wines of Township 7 awaits visitors who have finally pulled in after driving by and wondering, what is this picturesque place all about?

Wine lovers: for exceptional BC VQA wines in an exceptional local setting, look no further than Backyard Vineyards in the Township of Langley—the spacious, bountiful backyard to Vancouver, British Columbia.

Since 2009, Backyard Vineyards have been producing award-winning varietals, blended, and bubbly wines from 100% BC grapes grown on-site in their own vineyard and complemented with fruit selected from the Fraser Valley and South Okanagan. Enjoy sipping in your own backyard, or let their captivating vineyard be the perfect backdrop for a private tasting or event in our tasting room and under the gazebo.

Robert led us on an incredibly laid back, informative and overall extremely pleasant tour of several wineries in Fraser Valley. He is a “gentleman’s gentleman” and although he is far from boastful, he is highly knowledgeable and is actually level 3 sommelier!
Truly a a great way to gain some insight into the growing BC wine scene.

Fun Day with Robert in Fraser Valley

Robert Braithwaite, owner of Wine Lovers Tours showed us a wonderful day with a selection of 3 small Wineries in Fraser Valley and Langley Township. All 3 had a fun, local vibe and we enjoy our tastings at each stop. Plus, the price point for each of the wines we sampled were all very reasonable, which we can very much appreciate (being from the US).
We were lucky with the weather on our day with Robert, but even more so with Robert himself. A transplanted Brit and practicing Sommelier, Robert is not only very familiar with wine the many local vineyards but all enjoys talking about wine in a fun and informative way. We had a great day learning about Canadian wines AND Canada.
It was a and very enjoyable day in every way! But next time around, maybe spring or summer with Robert.
